Egsmark Strand and the local area offers a number of choices for wonderful trips for the active.
Forest and Nature administration's short series "Walking tours in state woodland" for our local area can be used for planning of a walking tour and can be seen below: We can recommend hikes and walking tours about: Slettehage lighthouse - at the tip of Helgenæs, which warns the shipping traffic arriving at Århus. A good starting point for a walking tour of up to 30 km along the whole of Helgenæs' coast line with deep water, beautiful view and freshening wind. Many good viewpoints, e.g. Ellemandsbjerget (99 meters above sea level), from where on a good day you can see both Funen and Zealand. Kalø Slotsruin - a historic monument, which can be visited after a short walk in an area of exceptional natural beauty. Read more about the place in the Forest and Nature administration's guide click here! Jernhatten - a fascinating area with unique plant- and animal life and a walk along coastline with rough hilly terrain. Mols Bjerge - a "mountain area" created at the end of the last ice age. The area offers a wealth of places which are worth seeing and experiencing. E.g.
| The Mols-laboratory, exhibition of Natural history Museum, Århus | | "Trehøje", 127 meters above sea level - fantastic view | | "Den Italienske Sti", breath taking in more than one way | | Skovbjerg, very old oak woodland | | Agri Bavnehøj, the largest long barrow in Denmark | | Tinghulen, earlier elder meeting place for three parishes | |
